LIPCA Purchases Mid America Insurance Services

BATON ROUGE, La. —  LIPCA Insurance Group, an insurance provider owned by and wholly dedicated to pest management professionals (PMPs), recently purchased the pest management insurance business of Mid America Insurance Services, Inc.

Mid America, is a full service, pest management-focused insurance agency based in Oxford, MS, services PMPs in nine states. The purchase occurs in the year in which companies are celebrating their respective 20th anniversaries.

The purchase of Mid America’s pest control business will provide significant growth for LIPCA, especially in Mississippi and other southeastern states. Billy Craft, Mid America’s servicing agent, will join LIPCA and continue to serve his clients from a LIPCA field office in Mississippi. Not only will Mid America clients continue to have their same agent looking out for their insurance needs, they will now have access to all of LIPCA’s resources, experience and expertise, including loss control and claims prevention. The acquisition of Mid America’s pest control business will allow LIPCA to continue its growth plan, according to Rene’ Bourgeois, LIPCA President. “We’ve enjoyed a 20 year friendship and business relationship with Mid America, and we’re excited about what the sale will bring about for LIPCA and Mid America’s PMP insureds,” Bourgeois added.
