In this newly created position, Hathaway will facilitate the movement of products from the development phase to product launch. Reporting directly to Al Smith, Liphatech’s director of marketing and business development, he will provide input and direction during all launch stages until the product is in the hands of distributors, starting with the development of business objectives through pricing, packaging and promotion.
“We feel it’s important to get our distributors more involved in the development of marketing programs that support our new and existing products,” said Liphatech CEO Carl Tanner. “We created this position to work closely with our partners to obtain valuable input. We are very pleased to hire a candidate with Chuck’s impressive credentials.”
Hathaway’s career has been based in export marketing and logistics, sales technology & operations. Before joining Liphatech, he served as a senior sales executive with UTI United States (an international freight forwarder) securing new clients, as well as developing supply chain improvements for existing accounts. He also worked for Procter & Gamble in San Juan as a market and distributor development manager where he was responsible for working with distributors to launch a host of P&G brands across Latin America and the Caribbean.

Hathaway holds bachelor’s degrees in Marketing, Logistics and Latin American Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
