MILWAUKEE — Liphatech’s Generation™ BlueMax rodenticide, a durable bait that provides maximum protection against crumbling, scatter, melt, and mold, is now available as a one-pound block, giving pest management professionals (PMPs) a versatile and convenient solution for controlling large rodent populations. Additionally, the new one-pound block is labeled for sewer baiting.

BlueMax mini blocks, introduced earlier this year, are specially formulated for commercial accounts where humid, moist or hot environments are encountered and/or third-party audits are the norm. The new one-pound block is an addition to the BlueMax line of formulations that include mini blocks and meal. The one-pound block expands baiting capabilities and provides Pest Management Professionals (PMPs) with additional baiting options when using BlueMax, said Al Smith, Liphatech director of marketing and business development.

“The BlueMax one-pound block address the need for a rodenticide that holds up under extreme climatic conditions found in food environments and other demanding applications, such as sewer baiting,” said Smith. “The addition of the one-pound block also affords PMPs a variety of choices when using BlueMax for easier, cost-effective control of mice, Norway rats, and roof rats.”

The one-pound block features 4 horizontal ports per bar for maximum securing options. Each block also features deep grooves to provide easy, clean product separation into smaller two-ounce bait pieces for use in Aegis™-RP and other bait stations.

For sewer applications, the individual pieces can be easily attached with wire to a stationary structure. It also can be suspended just above the high water line – or placed on a board supported by the ladder steps – for optimum baiting flexibility

The new BlueMax one-pound blocks are available in sturdy, lightweight, easy-to-carry corrugated service containers. The container, designed to take up minimal space in virtually any service truck, features a strong yet flexible strap handle and holds ten one-pound blocks. The ten blocks are stored in a slide-lock plastic bag that can be re-sealed to keep unused bait fresh. When the service container is empty, the plastic liner can be disposed of and the corrugated service container recycled, making it an environmentally friendly package.

“On the job, a PMP can choose to divide a single one-pound block into two, eight-ounce pieces, or four, four-ounce pieces and so on to match the needs of the application,” Smith said. “Bait that isn’t used can be restored in the plastic bag for future use so that nothing is wasted. The end result is a rodenticide and service container that are both flexible and durable, which in turn, saves PMPs and their customers time and money.”
