MONTREAL — Maheu&Maheu has acquired the pest management division of Veolia Environmental Services. The Montreal regional office will benefit from this merger because of the synergy it will create in the metropolitan area, the company reports.
Louis-Philippe Maheu, CFO of Maheu&Maheu, said that "the driving force behind this transaction was the obsession of giving the best service in the industry to customers while optimizing the Montreal Branch operations. 'Mysto' was the first pest control firm established in the province of Quebec in 1917. They built niches over the years in very specific sectors. This acquisition confirms the leading position of Maheu&Maheu while increasing its presence in the pharmaceutical industry."
Bernard Thomas, who was director of operations of the Veolia Division, joins Maheu&Maheu as assistant regional director and will play an active role in making the transition as smooth as possible for Veolia clients.
Maheu&Maheu celebrates its 75th anniversary this year. Mysto paved the way to the start of Maheu&Maheu in Quebec City in 1933.
