Sixteen months ago Action Termite & Pest Control acquired its first K9, Elvis Pest Lee. The decision to purchase another K9 was made easier by the success and demand for Elvis, said Jim Rutherford, owner of Action, who raised Zeus from a puppy. “I recognized that Zeus was highly intelligent and decided to send him to Bill to see if he would be a good candidate for termite work.” Zeus excelled at school and is now working full time for Action.
As for the name Rutherford stated, “I wanted to stick with the rock and roll theme that was started with Elvis Pest Lee. Buggy Holly sounded like a good stage name for marketing purposes and the response from our customers has been great.” Who says pest control can’t be fun?
Two teams are available for inspections anywhere in Michigan. Jason Sullivan, operations manager for Action, and Elvis comprise team 1. Jim Rutherford and Buggy Holly make up the team 2. For information about getting an inspection go to www.actionwdi.com.
