ORLANDO, Fla. — Massey Services is partnering with the Salvation Army Men’s Shelter in Orlando to donate their services for an existing bed bug problem that was recently discovered.
Salvation Army officials determined that the bed bug treatment program Massey is recommending will best ensure the bed bugs are eliminated. Massey Services is working with Pioneer Pest Services out of Deland, Fla, which has also agreed to provide a discount off their services. The shelter will be tented and fumigated; a method of treatment to eliminate bed bugs at all stages of life and get the shelter’s residents back in their temporary home.
“What Massey Services is doing for The Salvation Army is massive,” says Major Andrew Kelly of the Salvation Army. "Without their donation of services, we would have been facing a considerable challenge to get our shelter back into operation and to ensure a safe, warm, and pest-free environment for our residents."
“It’s imperative we help The Salvation Army with this issue,” said Tony Massey, president and COO of Massey Services. “We know during our colder months it is important to make sure the shelter is back up and running as quickly as possible to help those in need.”
Earlier in the year, Massey Services partnered with the Orange County Public School System and successfully alleviated a German cockroach problem in 22 Orange County Public Schools. Massey Services’ PrevenTech integrated pest management program targets various pests and is proven effective on commercial properties.
