Massey Services Announces Newly Formed Foundation

The Harvey L. Massey Foundation, being overseen by Andrea Massey-Farrell, was established to further and solidify Massey Services’ long term commitment and mission of being a ”contributing member to its community and industry.”


ORLANDO, Fla. — Harvey L. Massey, chairman and CEO of Massey Services is pleased to announce the formation of the Harvey L. Massey Foundation. The Foundation was established to further and solidify Massey Services’ long term commitment  and mission of being a ”CONTRIBUTING member to our Community and Industry.”

“Having completed our 29th consecutive year of profitable growth, we felt we had an opportunity to continue making a difference for our team members and the communities in which we work.” said Massey. “In establishing the Foundation, we have created a separate entity that will help us further our mission of community service.”

The Harvey L. Massey Foundation’s Board of Directors has already begun working on both short and long-term plans that will carry out the Foundation’s development and future community investments.
Andrea Massey-Farrell has been selected and appointed to the position of president and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Foundation. In her new role, Massey-Farrell will oversee the Foundation’s daily operations to ensure that its mission and goals are in alignment with the Board’s plans and vision. Massey-Farrell will also manage the strategic community relations efforts of Massey Services and its team members.

Previously, Massey-Farrell served as president and CEO of Massey Communications, a subsidiary of Massey Services. She began work at the agency in 1997 and has worked in all facets of the organization’s service lines over the past 17 years.

“As a fervent advocate and supporter of the arts, education and charitable organizations, I am confident that Andrea will play a critical role in leading this new endeavor, as we continue to expand and grow,” said Massey.
In addition to her work at Massey, Massey-Farrell serves on several boards including Orange County CRC Governing Board, the Rollins College Hamilton Holt School Advisory Board, the Orlando Shakespeare Theater Board of Trustees, the Winter Park YMCA Family Center Board, and the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce Board. She was also a 2012 nominee for the Orlando Business Journal’s Women to Watch award. Andrea has been the driving force behind many successful volunteer initiatives including the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer campaign.

Massey-Farrell has a BA from Rollins College in Organizational Communication. She is married to James Farrell, and has twin boys, Ethan and Edward.
