ORLANDO, Fla. — Massey Services announced the promotion of Joe Flynn to senior director of tax and compliance. In his new position, Flynn will oversee the company audit and the generation of audited annual financial statements.

Flynn is responsible for the preparation of more than 40 tax returns for Massey and other associated entities, both federal and in the nine states in which the company operates. Additionally, he is the administrator for multiple credit card merchant accounts, of which Massey collects more than $250 million annually, while overseeing the Accounts Receivable team of approximately 25 team members. Flynn is also responsible for the financial due diligence and integration of the company’s acquisitions.
With over two decades of experience in accounting, Flynn has audited various industries including nurseries, tobacco, agriculture and pest prevention. He received his master’s degree in accounting from the University of Central Florida. Prior to the start of his accounting career, Flynn spent over 25 years in the U.S. Navy as a Naval flight officer and retired as a Lieutenant Commander.
