Massey Services
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. — The Boys & Girls Club of Johnson City/Washington County in Tennessee accepted a technology donation made possible through a partnership between the Aeras Foundation and Massey Services. The donation will support student programming and workforce development initiatives on the Club’s campus.
Facilitated by Massey Services, the Aeras Foundation provided a variety of technology tools, including 20 iPads, 10 Chromebooks, 16 headphones and additional accessories. This equipment will enhance learning opportunities for K-12 youth through STEM activities, online educational courses, career exploration, iCode classes and more.
Serving approximately 360 students annually, the Boys & Girls Club of Johnson City/Washington County focuses on academic achievement, character development and healthy lifestyles. The Club offers a safe, supportive environment with caring mentors, fun and engaging activities and high-impact youth development programs during out-of-school hours.
“Our Club is so fortunate to have partners who believe in the potential of our young people,” said Robin Crumley, president & CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Johnson City/Washington County. “We are deeply grateful to Massey Services and the Aeras Foundation for providing much-needed technology that will expand access to learning and help prepare our youth for future careers.”
Based in Orlando, Florida, the Aeras Foundation supports more than 200 nonprofit organizations by repurposing gently used technology for use by both the organizations themselves and the communities they serve. Recognizing that lack of access to technology is often a socioeconomic issue, the Foundation strives to level the playing field for lower-income families by delivering essential tech resources to seniors, preschools, K-12 students, and college-age youth.
Massey Services is widely recognized for its philanthropic leadership, contributing more than $2 million annually in charitable giving, along with over $100,000 in in-kind support for nonprofit organizations.
