“It is a pleasure to announce this much-deserved promotion,” said Adam Jones, Massey’s vice president and director of quality assurance. “Karen Nix has earned this opportunity thanks to outstanding technical aptitude, a strong work ethic, and effective teaching style. I am confident that she will help us continually improve the effectiveness of the technical and training programs that are so vital to the future growth of our company. “
Nix joined the Massey organization in February 2006 and completed a rigorous management training program in August. After her training, Nix was promoted to the position of termite protection field training manager.
Nix earned a bachelors degree in biology from McNeese State University and a master’s degree in entomology from Louisiana State University. She brings more than five years of experience in Formosan and subterranean termite research with LSU to her new duties.
