“We value Massey Services’ continuous support toward diversity efforts and appreciate the strides they take to provide career opportunities, especially to minorities,” said Lisa M. Pietri, president of Diversity Career Fairs. “The percentage of minorities in their workforce, the involvement they have in the minority community and the leadership they have shown in diversity makes them an example to other companies and organizations.”
The award was presented by Lisa Pietri at the Annual Diversity Employers Awards Luncheon on Oct. 24, at the Florida Hotel and Conference Center in Orlando, Fla. Massey Services was represented by Christine Mason-Brah, director of Human Resources; Jenny Haget, marketing manager; Rebecca Church, marketing manager; Andrea Massey-Farrell, vice-president of operations and administration for Massey Communications; and Al Feliciano, staffing specialist.
Feliciano has worked closely with the National Corporate Hispanic Achievers organization for several years; he has participated in all seven job fairs held in Florida in 2008 and donates his time in the evenings working with minorities to help identify their skill sets for proper job placement.
“Recognition from the National Corporate Hispanic Achievers as ‘Employer of the Year’ is a measure of success for leadership in diversity,” said Tony Massey, president/COO of Massey Services. “At Massey Services, we encourage diversity and are proud to celebrate it in our workplace. We are very appreciative to the National Corporate Hispanic Achievers for honoring Massey Services.”
The mission of the National Corporate Hispanic Achievers is to promote the advancement of diversity in Corporate America by hiring, promoting and retaining minorities; highlighting minority role models and sharing knowledge and best practices between corporations.
