ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Business Journal recently announced Massey Services as one of Central Florida’s largest privately held companies on their annual Golden 100 List. Massey Services ranked No.44 on the list, up from last year’s No. 47 ranking. Harvey L. Massey was also honored as one of Central Florida’s “Ultimate CEO’s”.
The Orlando Business Journal annually surveys over 300 companies in the Central Florida area, encompassing Lake, Orange, Seminole and Osceola counties in order to be considered for the Golden 100 list. Selected companies must be headquartered in Central Florida and be 51% privately held. They are required to submit their growth revenue from the previous year to be nominated. The companies with the highest growth revenues are honored by the Golden 100.
“I am very proud that Massey Services was included once again in the Golden 100 list this year,” said Harvey L. Massey, chairman and CEO of Massey Services. “We would like to thank the Orlando Business Journal for recognizing our commitment to excellence through growth and innovation. It is a tribute to our hard-working Team Members to be honored with this distinction.”
Massey Services was recognized at the Orlando Business Journal’s Golden 100/Ultimate CEOs luncheon on September 19, 2008 at the JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes Resort. Renowned economist, Dr. Tony Villamil, Dean of the School of Business at the University of St. Thomas in Miami, delivered the keynote speech.
