Following the selection of an Interim EVP, Leggett established a task force to research the continued long-term betterment of FPMA in its role of providing excellent service to the Florida pest control industry. Leggett ordered the task force to be comprised of members of the FPMA executive committee and Association past presidents, and has currently designated the group, the FPMA Transition Task Force.
Leggett has directed the task force to conduct a “membership driven approach to change” by researching the thoughts, suggestions and recommendations of FPMA members, industry stakeholders, partners and government leaders. Leggett further directed the task force to provide written recommendations for change to the Board FPMA general membership.
Finally, Leggett directed that these proceedings be conducted with complete transparency to the FPMA membership, and urged the task force to announce a deadline for the completion of its recommendations once the FPMA board has formally acted upon its recommendations.
In conjunction with other task force activities, Leggett announced that the association would hold a public forum related to the Transition Task Force activities at the 2007 Power Forum, and provided a link on the FPMA web site to begin collecting member recommendations at pmp_services@flpma.org.
