“Joining Alachua with McCall is a good cultural fit for both companies,” said John Cooksey, vice president of operations, McCall. “The employees and owners of Alachua Pest Control are exceptional people, both personally and professionally. We are looking forward to a successful transition as we merge the company into our Gainesville operation.”
Alachua Pest Control has been serving customers in the north central section of the state for over 30 years. Owners Jose and Fern Tomeu started Alachua Pest Control in 1975. The company now has 17 employees and approx. 4,000 customers. “All of our employees are like family, so this is an emotional time for us,” said Fern Tomeu.
Added Jose Tomeu, “The company is like our baby but we feel good about McCall being the adoptive parent, because we know that they will take good care of our people.”
