Middleton Announces Winner of ‘Ugliest Lawn Contest’

Middleton has begun repairing the lawn of Louis and Connie Bentivegna of Altamonte Springs, winners of the 'Ugliest Lawn Contest.'

ORLANDO, Fla. — Middleton Lawn & Pest Control announced the winner its “Ugliest Lawn Contest.” Louis and Connie Bentivegna of Altamonte Springs will be awarded one year of Middleton’s TLCx6 Total Lawn Care Service and sod replacement for up to 1,000 square feet (a grand prize valued at approximately $1,500).

The contest, held in partnership with Daytona Beach’s 93.1FM KRO Country, encouraged listeners to submit photos of their own or a friend’s or neighbor’s lawn. On-air plays then guided listeners and participants to the station's Web site to vote for their favorite “ugliest lawn.”

The couple received an overwhelming 68 percent (1450) of the total 2146 votes.
