Miller Pest Solutions
DES MOINES, Iowa – Miller Pest Solutions announced the promotion of Keith Johnson to external operations director, a role focused on company growth, customer retention, technician accountability and operational excellence, the company said.
Keith joined Miller Pest Solutions in January 2023, after an extensive career in the restaurant industry, where he held roles ranging from dishwasher to executive chef. His first exposure to the company came as a customer, when Miller provided pest control services to a restaurant he managed.
“From the beginning, Miller stood out because it is locally-owned, family-run, and because the technicians genuinely enjoyed their work,” said Johnson. “That told me a lot about the culture.”
In his new role as external operations director, Keith will focus on driving sustainable growth, improving customer retention and ensuring consistent accountability across technicians and service managers, the company said. A key priority for him is continuing to build a safety-first culture while elevating pest control from a short-term job into a long-term, rewarding career path, according to Sprague.
“Keith is a natural leader who brings accountability, empathy, and high standards to everything he does,” said Miller Pest Solutions owner and CEO, Joel Miller. “His commitment to our people and our customers makes him the ideal fit for this role.”
Sprague said Keith is also passionate about professional development, both for himself and for the teams he leads.
