Modern Exterminating Celebrates 60 years of Serving the Midlands

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Modern Exterminating Co., Columbia, S.C., will be celebrating 60 years in business on Oct. 3. The coampny was founded in on Oct. 3, 1955, by George and Katherine Matthews, and it has remained under the ownership of the Matthews family for three generations.

 

A 2003 University of South Carolina graduate, Glenn Matthews III continues his grandparent’s legacy as president and CEO by providing his customers with the same level of service as when the doors opened. “My grandparents always stressed to me the importance of quality customer service,” says Glenn Matthews. “Customers are the lifeline to our success, and we want to do everything we can to ensure they are in good hands.”

 

Serving a 40 mile radius from downtown Columbia, Modern Exterminating has grown an ever expanding loyal customer base of over 11,000. With 39 full time employees, Modern Exterminating has over 700 years of combined experience in the pest control field.
