BRUNSWICK, Maine – Modern Pest Services, an Anticimex company, announced its newest partner in New England with the acquisition of Premier Pest Control of South Hadley, Mass.
Premier Pest Control is a local, family-owned and operated company, which provides pest control and termite treatment services to Hampden, Hampshire, Franklin, and Worcester counties. Founded in 1996 by Guy and Darlene George, Premier Pest Control has achieved 24 years of consecutive growth supporting both commercial and residential clients in western Massachusetts. Joining the Modern team from Premier are 10 full-time technicians with over 60 years of combined experience.
Guy George (ACE), owner of Premier Pest Control, commented about the acquisition, “Although we just had another record year, Darlene and I realized that we have taken Premier Pest Control just about as far as we could. We are extremely excited for our staff and for the personal and professional opportunities that Modern Pest Services will offer our employees.” Former owners Guy and Darlene are staying on; Guy as the branch manager, and Darlene as the branch administration manager for the newly-created Springfield branch.

We welcome Guy, Darlene, and the dedicated and knowledgeable members from Premier Pest Control into the Modern family. This latest addition not only helps us to expand our market into western Massachusetts, but also strengthens our service area between branches in Connecticut and eastern Massachusetts. This latest addition will only further our mission to be the most highly recommended pest control company in New England.” Dube further added, “We are also pleased to announce our eighth branch in New England with the creation of our new Springfield branch.”
This is Modern’s ninth acquisition since joining Anticimex in 2017.
