CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Mosquito Authority and Pest Authority have announced recent franchise expansion milestones ahead of the spring pest season. In 2024, the companies signed 11 and 28 new franchise agreements, respectively. By the end of April, Mosquito Authority plans to open four new locations in California and Florida, while Pest Authority is set to open in four new territories across California, Florida, Maryland and Wisconsin.
Jason Pritchard, interim CEO of both brands, noted that the companies are preparing for an active spring season and are continuing to expand their presence through new and existing franchise owners.
Mosquito Authority currently has 152 franchise owners operating across 554 territories. In the fourth quarter of 2024, the company signed agreements with new franchisees in California, Florida, and Texas. Upcoming openings include locations in Roseville, Calif.; Hollywood, Fla.; and Daytona Beach, Fla.
Pest Authority signed seven franchise agreements in the fourth quarter of 2024, covering new territories in California, Florida, Maryland, Michigan, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin. Scheduled openings include Glen Burnie, Md.; Appleton, Wis.; Daytona Beach, Fla.; and Roseville, Calif. The brand now includes 81 franchise owners operating in 342 territories.
Both brands have also begun introducing a redesigned technician training program aimed at improving compliance, skill development and service quality across their franchise networks.
According to Pritchard, franchisees are encouraged to tailor services to regional pest control needs, and operational updates are underway to support consistency and effectiveness across locations.
Mosquito Authority continues to grow in the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico. Pest Authority is available as an additional service offering for current Mosquito Authority franchisees. The brands use a subscription-based service model and are continuing to explore growth in states such as New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, South Dakota, and Arizona.
