CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Each year, Mosquito Authority recognizes franchise owners who go above and beyond, not only in business performance, but also in the meaningful impact they make within the communities they serve. During this year’s convention, which took place in Albuquerque, N.M., this past November, its 2025 Franchisee of the Year and Rookie of the Year Awards were presented.

Anthony Duncan, multi-unit owner of Mosquito Authority of Richmond, Va., and San Juan, Puerto Rico, was named Franchisee of the Year. New to the brand as co-owners of Mosquito Authority of the Eastern Upper Peninsula and Gaylord, Mich., Steve and Sarah Dent were also named Rookies of the Year. The annual conference — hosted by Main Line Brands, parent company to Mosquito Authority, Pest Authority and Fitness Machine Technicians — welcomed franchisees from across all three brands for four days of breakout sessions, marketing roundtables and keynotes to boost operational momentum heading into 2026, said Mosquito Authority.

“We are honored to recognize Anthony Duncan and the Dents for their efforts this year as an integral part of our franchisee family,” said Jason Pritchard, chief executive officer of Main Line Brands. “We are committed to maximizing the opportunities available for owners to succeed, and this year’s convention presented wonderful opportunities for us to spend time with our owners, networking and focusing on continuing education while also celebrating wins within our system. Our franchisees are the heart of our network and we are proud to have such fantastic leaders paving the way and setting an outstanding example in their local markets.”

Franchisee of the Year Anthony Duncan, who has spent more than 13 years with the franchise, was recognized for his commitment to growth — not just in revenue, but also in people, leadership and the impact of the Mosquito Authority brand, the company said. Mosquito Authority said Duncan was among the first to use virtual assistants for task-driven activities and creating personalized social media content,

“I’m truly honored to receive this award from the Main Line Brands team and deeply grateful for the resources and hands-on support they’ve provided over 13 years,” said Duncan. “As an owner in Virginia, Puerto Rico and the Colorado market, I know multi-unit entrepreneurship comes with real challenges — but when you’ve got a team that’s relentlessly improving, and a corporate partner that believes in shared responsibility and true collaboration, those challenges turn into opportunities.

Selected from franchisees across the United States and Puerto Rico, the Dents were selected as Rookie of the Year in recognition of their ability to secure clients, retain business and achieve impressive early success across their Northern Michigan territories, said Mosquito Authority. After purchasing an existing franchise location, the husband-wife duo grew its revenue by +16% in their first year, according to Mosquito Authority.

“We greatly appreciate this recognition from the Main Line Brands team as new franchisees,” said Steve Dent. “My team is committed to providing mosquito control solutions that adapt to the unique environment of Northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula, keeping residents and commercial spaces in the most beautiful parts of our state mosquito, tick and fly-free. I’m excited to carry this momentum into the coming years as part of a supportive franchise system.”
