CARROLLTON, Texas – MosquitoNix, a leader in mosquito control and mosquito misting systems, announced that Jennifer Yarto has purchased its South Texas franchise to expand mosquito control in a region that was among the hardest hit by West Nile virus last year.

MosquitoNix South Texas will protect people from mosquitoes who live across the valley including Corpus Christi, South Padre Island, Laredo, Brownsville and McAllen.  In 2012, one-third of all West Nile virus (WNV) cases in the United States were reported from Texas, 1,739 WNV cases in people, including 76 deaths, according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
