KATY, Texas – MosquitoMax announces the release of the Larvanator ALD-365, a patent-pending automatic larvicide-dispensing device that works year-round to eliminate mosquito larva in catch basins, French drains, drainage systems and other places that hold standing water. The device, developed by owner of MosquitoMax Jeff White, automatically dispenses larvicide into residential and commercial drainage systems that hold standing water.
MosquitoMax says the device is a major breakthrough in integrated mosquito management for both homeowners and municipalities.
It’s ideal for use in residential yard spaces, as well as, parks, playgrounds, common areas, school grounds and municipal storm drain infrastructure. It eliminates larva growth where it’s installed, which exponentially reduces adults, the theory being that standing water cannot always be eliminated.
The twist off fastening knob is quickly installed with the supplied cable tie to the underside of the catch basin cover. The dispenser itself easily twists on and off the fastening knob which allows for quick service. Once manually activated, it automatically dispenses an EPA-registered professional grade insect growth into the catch basin every 30 days which treats up to 3.5 gallons of water. It runs on one 9-volt battery and only needs service once per year. The constant presence of larvicide kills mosquito larva, preventing them from becoming adult mosquitoes.
MosquitoMax is installing and servicing the device along with other pest control, lawn and landscape, and pool service companies licensed to do so.
