DETROIT - MosquitoNix is continuing its planned 2013 expansion, and announced a new franchise in Detroit.
The franchise was purchased by Jenny Hardwood, and MosquitoNix said that the new franchise will provide Detroit, Birmingham, Grosse Pointe Woods, Prosse Pointe Park, Grosse Isle and Novi with mosquito control just in time for summer.
“We are continuing our strategic expansion plan to meet the dramatic increase in demand for mosquito control across North America. Last year’s West Nile virus outbreak was the largest since 2003. With summer just around the corner, time is of the essence for MosquitoNix to protect more and more families from annoying bugs and life threatening mosquito borne illnesses,” said Dan O’Neal, chairman & CEO of FEMO Group Holdings, MosquitoNix’s parent company. “We are impressed with Jenny’s commitment to provide mosquito control to the Greater Detroit community so that families and businesses across the Motor City will be able to enjoy the outdoors safely,” he added.
“We are excited about partnering with the MosquitoNix brand, which allows us to provide the most effective mosquito control solution available,” said Jenny Harwood, President, MosquitoNix of Detroit. “Now that MosquitoNix is finally in Michigan we have the ability to potentially save lives and allow Detroit area families to reclaim their backyards without worrying about their loved ones and pets getting West Nile or other mosquito borne diseases.”
