SAN FRANCISCO — Motive announced it has expanded its Workforce Management product with new artificial intelligence features designed to automate driver qualification, compliance and records management for companies in the physical economy.
The company said the tools are intended to reduce manual paperwork and compliance risks by giving organizations a centralized system to manage driver documentation, timecards and training records, including automated motor vehicle record pulls.
More than half of organizations in transportation and other physical operations still rely on spreadsheets, paper files and disconnected systems to manage driver documentation, according to the company. That can lead to missed license and medical card renewals, incomplete records and drivers sidelined because of paperwork issues.
Compliance and recordkeeping violations, including outdated or missing documents, are among the most common issues identified in audits by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, exposing fleets to potential penalties.
Motive’s new capabilities include integrated motor vehicle record requests and tracking within its dashboard; automated document capture that extracts key data from licenses and medical cards; and in-app tools that prevent drivers from accessing vehicles or changing duty status if required documents are missing or expired.
The company also introduced a Workforce Management Hub that consolidates driver profiles and workforce data, offering real-time reporting and AI-driven insights to flag compliance or payroll risks.
Hemant Banavar, Motive’s chief product officer, said the updates are aimed at shifting fleets from “paperwork-driven processes to intelligent workforce management at scale.”
Gilbert Solano, equipment maintenance and support operations manager at Watco, said the system has reduced time spent tracking driver paperwork and improved visibility for managers.
Motive said the expanded Workforce Management tools are available through its AI-powered platform. Visit gomotive.com to learn more.
