SOUDERTON, Penn. – Moyer & Son of Souderton, Pa., has acquired Rid-Et Pest Control of Nazareth, Pa. The transaction closed on Dec. 20, 2024, and was announced by Cetane Associates, sole arranger and financial adviser to Rid-Et Pest Control.
Ron Mahorsky, owner of Rid-Et, has dedicated nearly 60 years to the pest control industry. His journey began in the 1960s when he started working at Rid-Et Company, which primarily offered sanitation services. However, Ron quickly recognized the potential in pest control services and focused on growing that aspect of the business. Through industry involvement and networking, he helped Rid-Et’s pest control sales surpass those of its sanitation services.
In 1975, Mahorsky purchased the company and rebranded it as Rid-Et Pest Control. Under his leadership, the business has expanded into a full-service pest management provider, now operating with 10 vehicles and eight employees.

Founded in 1869 as Moyer & Son, Moyer started as a small feed mill in Souderton, Penn. Since then, it has evolved into a highly diversified residential and commercial services company, serving customers across Southeastern Pennsylvania and parts of New Jersey and Delaware.
For over 30 years, homeowners and businesses have relied on Moyer Pest Control to maintain pest-free spaces.
