MANISTEE, Mich. — Lake Michigan tested fishermen's resolve on Saturday. With high waves and wind, members of the Michigan Pest Management Association sailed out for the 2nd Annual Michigan Pest Management Fishing Tournament — an event designed to enjoy the beautiful scenery of northern Michigan while contributing to the worthy cause of the Michigan Pest Management Association Scholarship fund.
Five boats took approximately 20 pest management professionals willing to brave the high seas out for what turned out to be some terrific fishing of trout and king salmon. Not only did the group take in a good amount of fish, they also raised more than $1,800 for the Michigan Pest Management Association scholarship fund.
Corteva Agriscience, Bayer U.S., Zoecon Professional Products, Univar USA, and MGK all contributed to this fun and worthy cause.
