WESTFIELD, Ind. —After Duke defeated Wisconsin in the NCAA men’s basketball championship game, Dave Mueller, president of Insects Limited and Fumigation Service & Supply of Westfield, Ind., assisted in holding the Werner ladder that was being used to cut down the nets.

Mueller stated, “I looked over and saw that the ladder was unattended and reached out and held it as Coach Mike Krzyzewski was climbing up to cut down the nets. As a fumigator that often holds ladders, I thought this could be a bad accident if he fell while reaching up with scissors to cut the net down. The CBS handlers were telling Coach K that they had only 30 seconds left before the coach and team needed to be on the trophy stage for the final farewell. My reward came when pieces of the net started falling on my blue blazer. They will be a lasting survivor from this Final Four in Indianapolis.”
