EULESS, Texas — Peggy Wilson from Plano will be on her way to see a live taping of Dr. Phil. Wilson’s name was drawn from more than 400 entries in a Metroplex promotion between Myers Pest & Termite Services and KTVT/CBS, Channel 11.
Wilson wins round-trip coach airfare from DFW International Airport to Los Angeles for two nights and three days at a hotel, and two VIP tickets to a weekday taping of the Dr. Phil show in Los Angeles. The estimated value of her prize is $1,800. In addition, Wilson will receive a complimentary Myers pest service package valued at $159.
The promotion was a joint venture between Myers Pest & Termite Services and local CBS affiliate, KTVT Channel 11. Participants entered the contest via the Myers Web site. Everyone who entered the contest also will receive a introductory discount offer from Myers.
Myers retained a professional marketing firm this year, Envision Works,
to help develop and coordinate marketing efforts, such as the Dr. Phil promotion. Envision Works conducted the contest drawing with legal officials. Envision Works also developed Myers’ on-line entry form system and database to capture homeowner information. Envision Works has been responsible for such efforts as the Dr. Phil promotion, the overall Myers Pest & Termite Services Web site development, customer billing communication inserts, and developing a consistent image in yellow pages ads and other supporting marketing materials.
With the Dr. Phil promotion, Myers was able to boost their database of potential new customers by 3 percent. Anyone who entered the Dr. Phil promotion Phil promotion will receive follow-up contact by Myers along with a coupon for a discount on pest control services.
