The International Association Of Canine Pest Inspectors (IAOCPI), effective immediately, has changed its name to the North American Canine Pest Inspectors, (NACPI).

NACPI reports that the main reason for the change was to make the acronym of its name flow off the tongue easier and make the name easier to remember. The association’s main focus and attention to professionalism will continue as before.
2015 TRAING SEMINAR ANNOUNCED. NACPI also announced the 2015 Annual Training Seminar will be held Feb. 19-22, 2015 in Howell, Mich. The seminar, led by trainers John Skalski and John Mendham, will also include the opportunity for canine teams to gain their yearly certification.
The days will be split between leash time, lecture and round table settings. Leash training will include working through distractions, avoiding handler cues that elicit false alerts and troubleshooting individual team struggles. Lectures include training on bed bug biology and treatment and canine emergency first aid while the round table discussions will cover the business end-marketing tips, business practices and how to find and keep your target client.
