RALEIGH, N.C. — The North Carolina Pest Management Association (NCPMA) welcomed nearly 900 pest management technicians to the 67th Annual Pest Control Technician’s School in Durham. Convening at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel and Convention Center, the association kicked off three days of training, continuing education and networking.
“What makes the PCT School great is its people and its commitment to providing the latest pest management training. This year our attendees will learn the latest about everyday pests such as ants and termites but will also hear about the Zika Virus and recent research studies,” said Dana McDuffie, NCPMA President.
The 2017 PCT School included sessions and classes about ant treatments, termite treatments and a Zika update.
In addition, the NCPMA offers training and renewal classes for its Wood-Destroying Insects Report (WDIR) Accreditation program and awards the annual Technician of the Year Awards.
“Nearly 70 years ago, a group of 40 pest management professionals gathered for the first Pest Control Operators School in Raleigh. Now hundreds of professionals gather annually to continue this great tradition, and we are happy to welcome nearly 900 to our 67th Annual PCT School this year,” McDuffie said.
