RALEIGH, N.C. - The North Carolina Pest Management Association (NCPMA) held the 71st Annual Pest Control Technician’s School virtually, Jan. 25-28.
The conference began with a keynote speech from North Carolina Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler.
“For more than 70 years, the North Carolina Pest Management Association has been dedicated to offering the best training for our state’s pest management professionals. This year’s PCT School may not look like those of years past, but we are excited to be able to continue our proud tradition of quality sessions and speakers that will help educate our technicians and professionals statewide,” said John Adkins, NCPMA President and Chair of the NCPMA PCT Committee. “We thank all of our speakers and sponsors for making this conference possible.”
Highlights of the virtual event include:
• Keynote Speech: The conference began with a keynote speech from N.C. Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler.
• Management Sessions: In addition to training sessions for technicians, NCPMA is providing training opportunities for managers including topics of recruiting, safety, health insurance and more.
• Continuing Education Credits: The conference provides the opportunity for attendees to receive up to 14 continuing education credits. In addition, the NCPMA is providing credits for seven states including Florida, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
• Breakout Sessions and Networking Opportunities: The virtual event still includes options for networking including receptions, breakfast breakout sessions and more.
