HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The North Carolina Pest Management Association (NCPMA) welcomed its new leadership team for the 2012-2013 year at the 2012 Carolinas/Mid-Atlantic Summer Conference. Gathered in Hilton Head, NCPMA members are also attending classes concerning the latest research regarding bed bugs, fleas and termites.
The new officers include President, Mitch Taylor of Capital Pest Services in Raleigh; Vice President, Scott Canady of Canady's Services in Lumber Bridge; Secretary/Treasurer, Lee Smith of Rid-A-Pest in Morehead City; and Past President, Burns Blackwell of Terminix in Greensboro.
"For more than 60 years, the North Carolina Pest Management Association has been North Carolina's leading voice for the pest management industry." Mitch Taylor said. "On behalf of NCPMA's new officers, it is a privilege to be able to continue the great work of this organization. This is an important time in our industry, and we look forward to leading the association through gthe year ahead."
In addition, five people were sworn in as new board members. They include: Wes Wooten of State Pest Control in Clinton, Preston Brown of Wheeler Exterminating in Kinston, Mark Degeare of Forshaw Distribution in Carlotte, Cliff Patterson of SIA Group in Jacksonville, and Chuck Hazlewood of Go-Forth Pest Management in High Point.
The officers will serve a one-year term ending July 2013. Each of the executive officers has served previous terms on the board of directors and has been active in board committees.
