New Mexico Association Donates Pre-Treatments to Low-Income Housing

Members of the New Mexico Pest Management Association recently donated termite pre-treatments to homes being built for low-income families.

AZTEC, N.M. â€” Members of the New Mexico Pest Management Association recently donated termite pre-treatments to homes being built for low-income families as part of the Echo Mutual Self-Help Housing Program.

The Echo Mutual Self-Help Housing Program is similar to Habitat for Humanity. Its purpose is to help very low-income households construct their own homes.

The program is targeted to families who are unable to buy affordable housing through conventional methods. Participating families perform about 65 percent of the construction labor.

BASF provided Termidor® Termiticide at no charge for the pretreatments. The treatments took place in April and the following is a list of participants:
