LINCOLN, Neb. — The National Wildlife Control Training Program has published National Wildlife Control Training Program, volume 2.
The National Wildlife Control Training Program (NWCTP) provides core principles and training techniques for wildlife control. It was created to provide states and companies with a basic curriculum to certify and/or train workers in wildlife damage management. A brand new second volume focuses on the latest control methods for common species.
Volume 2 contains biology, damage, and management suggestions for 29 species commonly found in the U.S. The authors discuss only the techniques necessary for successful control of these species in real-world conditions. Like volume 1, this volume is certified by the National Wildlife Control Operators Association. Both volumes as well as online training may be purchased at http://nebraskamaps.unl.edu or by calling 402/472-3471or faxing 402/472-2946 or emailing snrsales@unl.edu.
