The Monroe County, N.Y. legislature is considering forcing commercial applicators to alert the neighborhood 48-hours before any spraying.
There was a large turnout at a public hearing on the issue Tuesday night. Those who work in lawn care say the proposal handcuffs their business. But, environmentalists and cancer awareness groups say the peace of mind is more important than having a bug-free lawn.
