SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif. – Target Specialty Products announced Mike Nichols as the business manager for the company’s vector control market. Based out of Target’s Houston branch, he directs the company’s vector business in California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Louisiana, Washington, Texas, and Oklahoma.
Nichols began his career with Target in June of 2010 after Target Specialty Products, B&G Equipment and Chemicals Company Inc. entered into a joint venture. At B&G he served as a regional sales manager covering Texas and Louisiana. Prior to joining B&G, Nichols worked for the Harris County Public Health and Environmental Services in Houston, Texas. During his seven-year career with Harris County, Nichols held various positions, eventually becoming a surveillance supervisor before leaving the agency to work in sales.
“Mike is extremely knowledgeable about vector issues and we are fortunate to have him lead our expansion in this market,” said Target’s Western Regional Manager Casey Brierley.
Nichols is a graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Science. He is a member of the American Mosquito Control Association (AMCA), the New Mexico Environmental Health Association (NMEHA), the Texas Mosquito Control Association (TMCA), the Texas Pest Control Association (TPCA), and the Louisiana Mosquito Control Association (LMCA). He served as president of the Texas Mosquito Control Association (2005 to 2006).
