Nisus Announces New Mold-Care Program

Nisus Corporation is significantly reducing the restrictions required for a PCO to become a certified Bora-Care with Mold-Care provider.

ROCKFORD, Tenn. — Pest management professionals have found Bora-Care® with Mold-Care to be a major weapon for mold control. It combines the proven efficiency of Bora-Care’s termiticide, insecticide and fungicide with the successfully demonstrated mold and fungi control of Mold-Care in both new construction and remedial situations.

Until now, the requirements to become a certified Mold-Care provider have been stringent and took a great deal of effort for PMPs to meet. But increased demand from builders for more certified providers along with the superior performance record of Bora-Care with Mold-Care in homes across the country (including those in hurricane-damaged areas) fueled program changes. As a result, Nisus Corporation is significantly reducing the restrictions required for a PMP to become a certified Bora-Care with Mold-Care provider.

Beginning Sept. 1, 2006, Bora-Care with Mold-Care will be sold through normal distribution channels so PMPs can purchase it just like any other pesticide, something they couldn’t do before. This makes it easy for PMPs to get the amount of product they need when they need it. In addition, while Nisus training is still mandatory for certification, IAQ training and the annual IAQ CUE courses are now recommendations, not requirements. Although a pest control company’s insurance may require them to have mold coverage, Nisus will no longer require a certificate of insurance to prove liability coverage. Finally, Nisus is offering a new 25-year product replacement warranty for Mold-Care.

The new Mold-Care program has many advantages for participating PMPs in addition to a new revenue stream for their businesses. Providers are listed on Nisus’ website as Certified Bora-Care with Mold-Care applicators. They will receive leads generated from Nisus’ marketing efforts as well as having access to the latest marketing materials and information on the latest application methods. Certified Providers will also be eligible to register homes for the new 25-Year Warranty.
