MINE HILL, N.J. – Nisus Corporation is working with veteran-owned NJ Pest Control to provide termite pretreatments for three homes being built by Habitat for Humanity. Both companies are honored to support a nonprofit organization helping families build and improve places to call home in thousands of communities across the globe.
On May 31 and June 4, NJ Pest Control of Randolph, N.J., will treat these homes in Mine Hill, N.J., with Bora-Care, a termiticide manufactured by Nisus. One house is the future home of a local veteran and his family. NJ Pest Control is the only Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) verified by the Veterans Administration in New Jersey. The owner, Russ Sieb, felt this was a perfect opportunity to provide a much-needed service for a fellow veteran.
“As a small business owner, it is important to me to give back to my community,” said Sieb. “We support Habitat for Humanity, and with this build I felt we, NJ Pest, needed to do more. One of the three homes being built is going to an Army veteran who served in Afghanistan. Being a disabled veteran myself, this build was more important and personal to me. We take pride in supporting our veterans in any way we can. We are honored and privileged to be a part of this build.”
Bora-Care is applied directly to the wood instead of soil, and its active ingredient is a borate mineral salt which penetrates and remains in the wood for the life of the wood. Builders across the country have adopted Bora-Care treatments because they eliminate the wood as a food source rather than treating the soil under a home.
