READING, Pa. - Nolan’s Pest Control, a family owned pest control operation in Fairfield, Conn., will be joining Rentokil North America. Victor Hammel, CEO of Rentokil North America made the announcement.
Nolan’s was founded in 1997 and was owned by Doug and Michelle Nolan offering both residential and commercial service. The company is well-known for its quarterly residential service.
Nolan’s will operate as an independent district office within Rentokil’s Mid-Atlantic under the Ehrlich brand name. All of Nolan’s coworkers have been offered continuing employment. After a transition period, Doug Nolan will transfer to serve as district manager of the Rentokil Orlando, Fla., office.
“Nolan’s service philosophy very much matches our own,” said Hammel. “Since founding the company Doug and Michelle Nolan have placed a high priority on customer service. That, plus a service territory that helps us to grow in a key area, makes for a very strategic partnership.”
Doug Nolan agrees. “On behalf of the entire Nolan’s Pest team, it is a pleasure to be a part of the Rentokil family. It was a difficult decision to sell, but ultimately there was only really one company that I really wanted to sell to. The values that were expressed in both words and deeds were truly eye opening. It was very important to me that both my employees and clients be taken care of and that the culture we had developed be respected. What I found in Rentokil was a much larger version of that same culture.”
