LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The Northwest Exterminating team, in collaboration with other local volunteers, achieved an extraordinary feat by packing 65,880 meals in just two hours for Feed My Starving Children (FMSC). This remarkable effort took place at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds in Lawrenceville, Georgia, where approximately 250 volunteers worked together to pack as many meals for local families as possible.
Within the two hours of working together, the team of volunteers filled 305 boxes which contained 36 nutritious meals each, resulting in 10,980 meals in total! The meal bags directly benefit 180 children in the local area. Each child will receive a nourishing, hand-packed meal every day for the entire year.
As one of the many volunteers from our Northwest team, Co-President Stephen Phillips said, “When we come together as a community, we can achieve extraordinary things. These meals represent hope, compassion, and the power of collective action.” Northwest Exterminating is grateful to every volunteer and supporter who contributed to this initiative.
The Northwest team is thankful to have the opportunity to meet the needs of our communities and to provide more than just pest control. Our team plans to continue this yearly partnership with the Feed My Starving Children team.
