Northwest Exterminating
MACON, Ga. – Northwest Exterminating’s Macon service center recently participated in their local Habitat for Humanity’s Women's Build, completing two homes in one month. The internal initiative was organized by Katie Hall, the Macon office manager and good deed team ambassador.
Twelve teammates from Northwest, along with nearly 200 other volunteers, spent a day working at a local house in Macon, Ga. From cutting and nailing trim to hanging doors and painting, volunteers showcased their skills and poured their hearts into improving the lives of others.
Co-Director of the Good Deed Team Kristen Milligan said, “We are incredibly thankful for this opportunity to contribute to our local community! It’s so fulfilling to see the impact we can make when we come together for such a noble cause.”
Macon Habitat for Humanity has been making a profound impact since its inception in 1986 – completing its first house by 1987. Since then, the organization has served more than 120 families, providing safe and decent housing to those who need it most.
This year marks the 20th year of the Macon Women’s Build, which provides opportunities to any woman or person who wants to learn how to build or repair a home. Our team and the many other volunteers empowered families, strengthened the community through homeownership and made an impact that will never be forgotten.
