The National Pest Management Association is joining the Federation of Asian & Oceania Pest Managers Association (FAOPMA), Chinese Pest Control Association (CPCA) and the Confederation of European Pest Management Associations (CEPA) in support of World Pest Day on June 6.
With these organizations, the NPMA is hosting a Thunderclap campaign to spread awareness and support for World Pest Day.
Thunderclap is a crowd speaking platform that helps amplify messages by connecting a group of like-minded people who will share the same message through Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr at the same time. The NPMA is using Thunderclap to gather global social media support for World Pest Day in the form of posts, tweets and Facebook pledges.
This multinational campaign and event were established to raise awareness of the role pest control professionals play in protecting public health, food and property on a daily basis. This year’s celebration of World Pest Day will be held in conjunction with the Global Summit of Pest Management Services outside of Lisbon, Portugal.
