FAIRFAX, Va. — As part of its commitment to providing leadership development 365 days a year, the National Pest Management Association's (NPMA) Leadership Development Group (LDG), has announced that it will volunteer at the Boys and Girls Club of Boston in conjunction with PestWorld 2012, October 17-20 in Boston.
"The Boys & Girls Club of Boston's mission is to help young people build strong character and realize their full potential as responsible citizens and leaders," stated LDG Chairperson Jenifer McCauley. "The LDG is proud to support this cause by volunteering to educate children on bugs, interact with the children during sports, arts and crafts, and provide some assistance to the facility in the ways of painting, landscaping, cooking and cleaning."
The manpower for this project will come from LDG volunteers and will take place on Tuesday, October 16th, immediately preceding PestWorld 2012.
The mission of the LDG is to upgrade the professionalism of the pest management industry by promoting access and increased involvement in NPMA; identifying, motivating and developing its emerging leaders; providing a networking opportunity; teaching skills that are applicable to your business, personal development, the community and NPMA; and facilitating the information exchange between generations of managers and owners.
For information on volunteering with the LDG, contact Dominique Stumpf at dstumpf@pestworld.org.
