FAIRFAX, Va. – The full schedule of events is now available for the Global Public Health and Food Safety Summit, taking place in Miami, Fla., from June 4 to 6. This event is hosted by the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) in collaboration with the Confederation of European Pest Management Associations (CEPA) and the Federation of Asian and Oceania Pest Managers Associations (FAOPMA).

The full program is also available for the NPMA and QualityPro Safety Summit, being held immediately following the Global Summit, June 6 to 7, also in Miami, Fla.

After the opening remarks and welcome, the Global Summit begins with a keynote panel discussion led by Taro Kanazawa, president of FAOPMA, who is joined by a formidable array of leaders from the world’s largest international pest control companies. These include Andy Ransom, CEO of Rentokil Initial, accompanied by Nicolas Granucci, president of global pest for Ecolab, Matt Turek, division president Orkin International, and Hakan Kjelberg technical manager for the Anticimex group international.

From the world of research, Dr. Faith Oi from the University of Florida will debate how the influence of global climate change will affect public health, property and food. Whereas, Professor Coby Schal, from North Carolina State University, will review the latest research linking pest associated bio-contaminants to human health impacts.

During the three days further presentations will cover the latest advances and best practice in public health and food safety. Topics to be covered include the use of remote sensing equipment, rat monitoring in urban environments and surveillance programs in vector-borne disease management.

From a more practical perspective, the challenges and client expectations facing pest management professionals servicing the food industry are to be covered, as are new technologies, food safety audits and regulations.

For U.S. attendees, the summit also offers an excellent opportunity to earn valuable recertification credits while staying ahead in your field by learning from thought leaders and industry experts.
