FAIRFAX, Va. — Bed bugs are back, and the National Pest Management Association is arming its members with education. In May 2005, NPMA is hosting a series of bed bug workshops covering everything from inspection to treatment. The workshops are sponsored by: Bayer Environmental Science, Residex, Syngenta, Univar, Waterbury, Whitmire Microgen, and Zoecon.
During the workshops, Dr. Mike Potter, of the University of Kentucky, will speak about how the bed bugs came back, inspection techniques and control methods. Nationally recognized bed bug control expert Frank Meek of Orkin will take you from inspection to control. NPMA’s Technical Director Greg Baumann will discuss how to distinguish bed bugs to reduce liability while providing unparalleled service. Manufacturers will highlight bed bug products so that you can develop your program onsite. The schedule is:
