NPMA Unveils Redesigned Web Site

The National Pest Management Association announces a redesign of the consumer and media pages of its Web site, www.pestworld.org.

FAIRFAX, Va. – The National Pest Management Association (NPMA) announces a redesign of the consumer and media pages of its Web site, www.pestworld.org. The new pages provide information consumers and media request most often from NPMA.

On the new consumer section of the site, consumers can sign up for pest alerts for their geographic region, search a database of pest information, and learn preventative tips for preventing pest infestations in their homes. Consumers can also have their pest questions answered by pest control professionals on a community message board and locate qualified pest control professionals in their area.

“By visiting our site, consumers can learn more about pests that may be affecting their homes and families, then link with a pest control professional who can help them correctly address any pest issues,” said Cindy Mannes, NPMA’s Director of Public Affairs.

Members of the media can research information on pests and the professional pest control industry on the new media section of the site. They can also preview and request still photography and b-roll footage available from NPMA through searchable libraries. The new media section of the site also features a full media kit including interview requests that can be submitted online.

“We wanted to provide a comprehensive media section where journalists can complete their research for any story related to pests, pest-related health threats, or the growth of the professional pest control industry,” Mannes said. “We think this new redesign will meet the needs of all of our audiences.”
