NEW YORK - In early March as the COVID-19 pandemic began to take hold, NYPMA strongly and successfully advocated for pest management to be included in those services deemed essential.
During the darkest days and even now New York strong pest technicians and office support staffs continue to provide for professional pest management services necessary to maintain the safety, sanitation, and essential services required to protect residences, business, food production, food service, health and other essential facilities. In honor of these men and women NYPMA has created a unique industry specific patch that they may wear with pride, and in so doing remind others of the important role professional pest management continues to play in our society.
The concept and patch were created by Gil Bloom, Director of NYPMA Public Affairs and executed by Executive Director Harriet Schary. For more information in general about NYPMA or to obtain Essential Worker Pest patches and stickers contact Ms. Schary at hschary@NewYorkPMA.com
