NYSPMA to Honor Katrina Volunteers

The New York State Pest Management Association will be honoring three firms that recently volunteered their knowledge and expertise to come to the aid of the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

ALBANY, N.Y. — The New York State Pest Management Association will be honoring three New York based pest control firms who recently volunteered their knowledge and expertise to come to the aid of the victims of Hurricane Katrina. (See New York PCOs Volunteer in Katrina-Affected New Orleans).

"While many members sent contributions through the NPMA program, these individuals made a true sacrifice by giving of themselves," said NYSPMA Executive Director Leonard Douglen.

While community service has always been a hallmark of the pest management industry these companies demonstrated a high standard of caring for others and projected a most positive image of the pest management industry. Therefore the New York State Pest Management Association will be making a special presentation to each of the companies at its upcoming Fall Conference to be held on Nov. 2, 2005 in Nanuet New York.
