COLUMBUS — The Pest Control Association of Columbus (PCAC) and Ohio Pest Control Association (OPCA) will be lending their support for the Columbus Zoo’s 2005 Insect Fair, which will be held in Oct. 16-17.
PCAC and OPCA will be doing preparation work for this event via promotions and lining up volunteers for the PCAC booth.
In addition to industry representation via the PCAC, there will be booths staffed by The Ohio State University Deptartment of Entomology, the Ohio Beekeepers Association, the Ohio Lepidopterists Society, Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Insect World of the Cincinnati Zoo, Bugman Educational Enterprizes, Tony's Creepy Crawly Zoo, and The Bat Lady.
Zoo staff will engage children in a variety of participatory activities and crafts. The daily event times are: Sunday, Oct. 16, from noon to 5 p.m.; and Monday, Oct. 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
