DAYTON, Ohio — The Ohio Pest Control Association officially became the Ohio Pest Management Association Jan. 1. The name change, adopted by unanimous vote of the members at the organization’s annual meeting in December, reflects OPMA’s close association with the National Pest Management Association.
OPMA also installed new officers and directors for the 2009 term. William Kirchner Jr., Cleveland Chemical Pest Control, Cleveland, is OPMA president for 2009. Kirchner previously held the positions of association vice president and treasurer.
He succeeds Scott Steckel, Varment Guard Environmental Services, Columbus, who continues to serve the association as immediate past president. Andrew Christman, Ohio Exterminating Company, Columbus, moves from secretary/treasurer to vice president; Jeff Teague, Responsible Services, Hamilton, becomes secretary/treasurer.
